For some reason when the age old topic of who would win in a fight Batman or Superman? More often then not the answer has been Superman. This blows my mind! I am a firm believer that Batman would crush the kryptonian. I usually site numerous examples in the comics that support my stance. Dark Knight Returns, DK2, Hush, etc. I am then usually bombarded with the arguement "Well if Batman doesn't have any time to planor all of his toys then Superman would destroy him." Now that's just silly, his planning and toys are apart of the character. If you really want to strip Batman down of his stategy and his gadgets (which he really doesn't use as much as people like to think...Adam West has doomed a generation) Then you would have to take away Superman's yellow sun. I'm pretty sure Bruce Wayne's years of combat skill and strength training would make little time of Clark Kent. Does Superman even lift weights? I am interested in a well thought out disussion on the topic. The only story I've read where Superman might have beaten Batman is "Red Son" but only because Batman commited suicide to become a martyr againts the establishment, but thats a story of anoher day. So let me know what you think.
Peoples thoughts on The Hood, Brubaker's Run on Dare Devil, the best free MMO's, and what stories exhibit the best demise of a comic character are also all speculatory. (That is what speculation is ...people's opinions. I thank you for spending some of your precious time commenting on my thread seeing as it is bar-none some of the worst wastes of time known to man. In the future though please try to keep the comments fun and interesting and about Batman vs. Superman, Thank you so much!
Superman's only weakness (barring the obvious green crystal one) is his restraint and his unwillingness to use anywhere near his full power unless under extremely dire circumstances. Because really, if Superman really wanted to kill Batman he'd do so by coming down as a flaming meteor from orbit and turning batman into sub atomic particles.

Hey now. Don't be a jackass. I'm trying to tell you threads like this are the virtual equivalent of "My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad". From what I remember they do some sort of poll every once in a while that settles these sorts of questions.
Batman's superpower isn't planning. He often has to fight a bad guy when he doesn't have a plan. The fact that you have to go to such ridiculous lengths to conceive of a situation where batman wins shows how ridiculous the concept is. Superman is effectively a God. If both of them for whatever reason were unconcerned with killing each other, superman could kill batman from orbit.
These arguments are stupid at best, but they get even stupider when fanboys become involved. I love Batman like a son, but saying superman couldn't fuck him up is ridiculous.

Those aren't the same.
