Considering you are too busy to draw, you sure do draw alot. And you are also very good, I love how clean your linework is, something I have always struggled with.
I saw that Agent Smith on tumblr yesterday and thought to myself 'maaaan. that's good as hell.' Again, your drawings are so solid and real. Those are quite good likenesses too.
As freaky as the original Matrix story is, watching the Animatrix, in particular the ones that describe the war between humans and machines and how it lead to the enslavement of humanity/creation of the Matrix, made me feel incredibly sick. I feel uneasy just thinking about it.
What did you do with the drawings, DMAC? Leave them tucked away in odd corners as surprises for the hotel cleaning staff? I feel like that would be a GREAT surprise to find.
Love the Matrix Hotel Cards!! How exactly are you shading them? They look incredible!!
They're drawn with the Faber-Castell Ecco Pigment pen and shaded with Prismacolor markers. I only had two of them with me but you can get a bit more variety by going over the same areas.
Thanks, guys. I should give some thought to what I could do for prints. I still don't want to do any of the pop culture/superhero stuff that belongs to other people but I'm sure I could come up with some ideas for original designs.
Yeah, it's not like I never draw original characters, it's just that I enjoy drawing characters from things I like. When I get a chance to draw something for fun these days, it's often easier and more appealing to just do my take on something familiar.
It would be really cool to see that, just because your shit is slick and it should be on more peoples walls. I feel you on not wanting to sell fan art, I've always felt weird about it too. You used to be doing some kickstarters and other things that seemed like more side-ish projects. Would you ever consider doing something like that completely on your own? Kinda like your Christmas cards, but a poster series or something?

Gotta have them big meaty thighs.
The first one still holds up and is probably in my top 10 favorite movies of all time. The sequels should never have happened.

Cause man, dude. Please.
Seriously, what a visual delight every time you post. I could look at your work all day.
