I know very little about this except that it looks awesome. You're shipwrecked on an island and have to manage a ton of food, equipment, stats etc except that people keep trying to eat you while you do it. So inconsiderate!

There's four islands, three playable characters (all with different skill trees) and what looks to be co-op multiplayer (probably not couch co-op although they do say "Play with a friend offline through the story mode" so here's hoping!)

Comes out the 23rd and is up for preorder on Steam.

    The co-op is:

    Couch co-op: Campaign
    Online co-op: Challenge maps.

Which is a bit weird and disappointing.

I think you meant to say awesome and wondeful. Couch co-op absolutely needs to be in more games.

I meant that they didn't make it so campaign could be co-op'ed online as well.

  • Magic PinkMagic Pink Tur-Boner-Fed Registered User regular
I know. I'm fine with that if it means I get couch co-op.

The trailer gave me an erection - I immediately preordered.

I have a serious love for Lost in Blue. Slightly off-topic, but I'd like to see a LiB-type game without zombies. But this looks pretty good for now.

Looks like silly amounts of fun. This game kind of came out of nowhere!

Um, I own and have devoured them all. I'm talking about a new LiB type game. From a different developer, maybe, who might have some ideas Konami didn't.

Actually, I don't own the Wii one because I heard it sucks.

Does "couch co-op" mean LAN? Because 30% off on Steam is looking mighty tasty right now.

Based on the bitching on their forum, no, it doesn't. But who knows if that's right.

There's still online co-op stuff to do, just not the main story mode.

Picked it up... having a problem with the first real quest... real spoilers below:
I ventured into the first village and grabbed the gas can, then made a Molotov cocktail with it and threw it at the hoard of zombies outside the door. (Set myself on fire too) Anyway, when I got it back to the quest guy he still wants the gas can. As far as I can tell he wants it to be full (it's at 2 bars, instead of 3), but that wasn't really specified. So I can't complete the first quest. Posted on the tech support forums to see if I really do have to start over.

    Still a fun game.

I still haven't had a chance to even start this up. Anyone else get it? Any impressions?

Is couch co-op two players only? Or can it be up to four?

  • Magic PinkMagic Pink Tur-Boner-Fed Registered User regular
Just two right now I think.

Dang. I have a bunch of friends coming over next week and would have loved to bust this game out.

It's $10.00. For $10.00 if I get 5 solid hours of entertainment out of it I'm satisfied.

I played for about an hour last night and I love it so far. This game has monkey quests guys.

That should be enough to sell you. Seriously though, it's awesome so far.

Just played the free demo. I like the idea, but my reaction times aren't really what they need to be to succeed at this. I got plastered by bloaters (to borrow the State of Decay zombie equivalent) over and over again because switching to a ranged weapon to kill them while being swarmed by normal zombies isn't that convenient.

This looks fun, but I read a lot of negative impressions about the game's quality and stability. Granted, always take other forums with a grain of salt, but is everyone's impressions here who has taken the dive positive so far?

I had no issues with the game. I finished the campaign and have been playing the challenge quests both alone and with my son. Got my money's worth easily.
