It's Halloween, I'm in college, and I have $10 to spend on a costume. The solution? Buy duct tape and scissors.

The pop art lady in the OP is amaze balls.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

This year, for the first time in six years, I actually teach on Halloween day. I will get to teach in costume!! I'm already teaching using my sonic screwdriver, but for one day I'll get to rock an entire Doctor outfit in front of the class.

My wife wants to go as Jesse Pinkman. I'm not sure who to accompany her as, since there are no asian males (or females, for that matter) in Breaking Bad.

    Maybe Jane.

I been working my ass off for the first time in my life on my Halloween Costume: Macho Man Randy Savage.

Things are finally starting to come together, my last stumbling block is figuring out how to decorate the white tights I ordered.

I recommend you dress as a Rubic's cube.

If that's too hard, just pile them up, dig a hole down the middle, and dress as a pile of cardboard boxes. Bonus points if the pile is tall enough and the hole in the middle large enough that you can fold up inside and hide in a corner.

    Halloween is best holiday.

But I would like to address the prevalence of non-scary costumes on Halloween.

Why is the scary being sapped from Halloween?

Halloween is for scary costumes, not any costume.

Use one of the other freakin' 364 days of the year to dress up as a toaster or Spike Spiegle or whatever.

    C'mon. What's Halloween about that?

I have declared Halloween the time for me to dress up as something I love that is totally obscure, so I have to explain my costume all night.

I might do a zombie some day, but ugh, so involved and messy!

The paint's currently drying on my new hand. It's pretty swanky; I built in an interior handle and everything so it doesn't flop around. I still have to rig the blade so it's a little more stable, but if I've learned anything, it's that there's no problem enough cardboard and superglue can't fix.

Oh man, my Macho Man outfit is really coming together.

Last night I added the arm ribbons things and it really made the jacket. I'm just going to apply one more touch of paint and I'll post a picture of it.

I really went all out. Apart from the mandatory shades and hat I also got tights, wrestling boots and a toy WWE Championship belt (Which was a SS gift from these very forums!)

Needs more blood and rips in the shirt.

    Also, way more chin.

I checked around and there was nothing less than $20, which was more than I'm willing to go for a detail on a last-minute homemade costume idea.

I got my PHD in Horribleness this year-

    1393504_10100648232813285_1392611118_n.jpg

I was able to track down the exact make for the gloves and boots. The goggles are close, They have the right flip up part, but I need to make the vents round. Also dirty it some. The coat is pretty good though I think the neck could be a little tighter.

I was at a party last weekend where a girl did the comic book look like in the OP. Took me a minute to figure out what it was. It looks just as cool in person.

oh, no, that mold from yours that I still have because that sculpt took stupid long and I would never want to redo it if I didn't have to? I have perfected ways of creating a membrane about half the thickness of the one I applied on yours. Since I know the forms in the nose and lip area aren't useful, I'm going to just create the part of the membrane with the scars and fudge the rest with SkinTite and ThiVex.

I actually can't stand being a model for lifecasting, so I look for every opportunity to bypass it, but if I had to I could create a face form with plaster gauze bandages to get the shape I need, I guess.
