    I think the first and third panel are almost entirely cut / pasted. Apart from the facial features and the texturing on the couch, they look identical.

    I think if the line was sarcastic she'd also have put emphasis on the "never" as well as the "more"; plus Gabe outright tells us it's irony, rather than sarcasm. But you're right, it can be pretty hard to tell the difference between sarcasm and irony in printed text. (Sarcasm is basically just irony with a weird tone of voice, after all.)

    Compare: "Oh, an irony detector? Well, that's a really useful invention."
    "Oh, a sarcasm detector? Well that's a really useful invention!"
