I do hope they get patched. The revolver barrel shotgun seems to work the best so far.

Yeah. Its simply a fact of shooters.

I did some extinction this morning with randoms and we did well. Two of the guys knew what they were doing and organized our loadouts and then I kept following their directions. Either I should have passed on mortar strike because it's not good or I just don't know how to use it.

Mortar Strike is shit, so is the Trinity Rocket, I.M.S is decent and Automated Sentry Gun becomes awesome at +3 skill points (you'll need to defend it at times though) I dont know how good the Vulture is yet.

Always go for Weapon Specialist (unless you got a team that knows whats up) and level that up before anything else, because you'll get faster ADS, reload, tighter bullet spread and 70% + damage by the end of it.
Ammo and Armor should also be a priority and you should atleast get a single point in the pistol if not more, just for the running bonus (you'll need it at the end) then killstreaks like Auto Sentry Gun after that.

Tank, Medic and Engineer seem awful compared to Weapon Specialist, I guess my best setup would be 3 x Weapon Specialists and 1 x Medic mainly because of the last bonus in Medic class skill (Faster health regen for everyone)

Also, fun fact - You can buy a Riot Shield and have it on your back for added defense from behind. (At least until it runs out)

Mortar strike is so bad, but I keep using it because mortars. And also because I'm a masochist, as evidenced by my shotgun and knife use in this game.

So, 360 gents. Should I go ahead and be buying this? It's future looking brighter than BLOPS2's did?

If the people play, I will play. I go where the PA is. I enjoy all of the games (MW2-Ghosts) enough to play them regularly, as long as the dudes are there. You'll almost certainly get your money's worth, Volatile.

I'm enjoying Ghosts, bordering on being addicted to it.

I played BO2 and MW3 about the same amount of time, but I hadn't touched either game in a few months. BO1 and MW2 were both played more, probably a lot more in the case of BO1.

I could see myself playing Ghosts as much BO1, depending on the support it gets and what happens after the next gen consoles arrive. I'm definitely enjoying the SP more than that of BO2. I will probably finish it this time around, at least.

I tried semi-auto with the Honey Badger and was getting plenty of 2-shot kills. But I'm really crappy with anything semi-auto so I switched back to full.

I've been using the MSBS, the three round burst AR and its an absolute beast.

I don't care for the irons on it so I slapped on a RDS and grip. Close to mid it'll drop anyone in 1 burst. It made getting the meticulous operations an absolute breeze.

The MSBS is really good, I used it almost exclusively on my first soldier. If you don't have a good trigger finger and aim though, you'll miss the first burst and be at a serious disadvantage if someone is already shooting back.

Yeah I swapped to it yesterday and after murdering myself for 150 no attachment kills I now have a holo sight and muzzle break and I'm doing a lot better than I did with other guns. I even went 12-1 this morning which I can only chalk up to I was playing people actively worse than me. Of course I had accidentally flipped to support for that round so I didn't even get the chance to finally unleash my tier three kill streak!

Speaking of kill streaks, I started using the gryphon yesterday. That thing is pretty damn nasty. I'll probably keep satcom off in order to support keeping gryphon on.

I think the saddest thing for me is when you complete a field order, call the support package and its a sat com. Like just spit in my face game. Well that and when you throw the support thing the wrong way and can't get to it.

I think my favorite end kill of a match has to be when it ends on an IED (side note anyone else a little uncomfortable with IED's as a weapon in the game considering how many US soldiers they have killed in the iraq afganistan conflict?) Just because its great seeing a stationary object end a match.

What about all the bullets featured as weapons in this game? Also, all the war.

I tossed a beauty of a bounce on Whiteout that sailed into the water. I just sat there and watched as the helicopter came and dropped my crate in the sea. Then some dude who saw the helicopter came and shot me in the back.

I threw one into the sea as well, though I jumped in after it because I figured sure.

Honestly, off the grid is pretty much the new ghost in this game so you can get away with not running Satcom(air support is less of a threat in this game because most air strikes are 9 kills and above and you're average person ddoesn't managee that often.)

Not to mention half your team is probaby using it.

    I'v been going 5-7-9 myself.

I only go 3-5-7 with hardline.

From what I've seen at least, most people aren't running Off The Grid. Since it takes 3 points and SATCOMs are really only a threat if there's 2 or more up on that team (not to mention they don't last long and are easily destroyed), being off the radar is less of a concern. In previous CODs I always ran the "stay off UAV" perk, but in this one I haven't even bothered because I want Stalker, Dead Silence and Amplify, which take up most of the points.

  • PreacherPreacher Registered User regular
Scavenger is really good for me, because I'm a terrible shot and being able to take bullets from the dead is a god send.

I'm always confused when people don't run dead silence/amplify.

Foot sounds are so good in this game.

I don't because I'm playing cranked right now and I'm hearing foot sounds I'm already dead.

Well, honestly if you huave a decent headset you can hear pretty well without amplify so much that sometimes it make it harder to discern where the noise is coming from.

  • mFiendmFiend l33t quarkscooper America's HatRegistered User regular
Dead Silence on every class, but I'm not really using Amplify because I tend to lone wolf it with pubbies and I can already hear extremely well in the relative silence of my roving sniper bubble.

    PS4: mFiend
  • GanluanGanluan Registered User regular
I like Amplify because it makes enemy footsteps easier to differentiate from friendly footsteps.

It's actually pretty useful for me in Cranked because everyone's hauling ass so you have more warning they're approaching.

On a side note, this hacked lobby stuff is bullshit. Got put into modded lobby by the game's matchmaking, left immediately but now I'm gaining squad points for everything I do (like 30 a round). It's actually aggravating because not only do I enjoy earning them legit, but this seems like something that shouldn't be possible. Somehow my profile was modified yet Activision won't do anything...

  • PreacherPreacher Registered User regular
    Wait modified lobby what?

  • GanluanGanluan Registered User regular
Yeah the same thing happened back in MW2, you'd get put into lobbies where everyone had infinite ammo, super speed, etc. but it didn't affect your profile at least.

Whatever lobby I joined did something to my actual COD stats/profile, because the host was likely using a modified console. I see quite a few people reporting this online but nothing's been done.

Long story short, if you get into a lobby where strange things start happening (weird symbols, huge scores, invincibility, etc.) don't back out as that will save your profile. If you dashboard instead, you'll avoid any issues.

I started the campaign and played through the first mission. Before the credit scene I got to run through a city being torn apart by an earthquake caused by the ODIN strike and my character got knocked out, and then I went to space and the character I played as died. Pretty much standard CoD fare. I don't like how they make me walk to somewhere and then get an update. As much as I make fun of cinematics, if I'm not actually controlling what my character is doing, I don't want to do it. One I'm in that truck just make it a cutscene where I get delivered to headquarters and talk to the boss. Plus it will look way better than me just moving back and forth because I'm bored.

Though if my squad ends up playing like I do in multiplayer they'll spend the majority of the map looking for other players, find one die, and then start looking around for an enemy again for the next five minutes.
