One thing I've learned, though: do NOT deploy shock mines when your intended target is riding your bumper. As it turns out, there's a bit of an area of effect to the mine detonation (it wiped out about 40% of my endurance bar).
I like this game, but the fact that you're only playing with 6 people in the world at a time and there's no good way to really meet up and play together means I spend most of my time driving around playing solo.

See, I'm one of those anti-social gamers (I'll only play if it's with people I know...or with other of you fine PA folks), so I restrict my game's access to invite-only and spend most of my time doing what I did in Most Wanted: drive around and explore the area.
I lost it all cause I did something dumb but still.
Any other Racer High Rollers out there? I bank nothing less than 500,000 - you mad cops?
