Yeah, It's That Bad Podcast (R.I.P.) - Premium Podcasts

For those of you who don't know, Yeah, It's That Bad was one of my favourite bad-movie podcasts, which ended this past August because some asshole(s) were spreading info about the personal lives of the podcast members, despite being well liked online. I highly recommend it, if you know anyone who already has the old eps, which is the only way you're going to hear it, because they are now no-longer up in iTunes. (Correction: I think there are other less mainstream podcast sites that still have an archive of eps, which were always free to begin with, so nothing untoward is afoot there, I believe.) They also used to have 3 "premium" episodes for sale on their (also now defunct) Bandcamp page for $2 apiece, and I was able to legitimately buy the Green Lantern ep before those, too, went down.

I realize that the forums need to be piracy free, but I was wondering if there any any other legit podcast stores online that are still carrying those. They are, specifically, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

If anyone knows if these are still kicking around somewhere I would really appreciate being passed along to those.

What were the specifics on "spreading info about the hosts". Just curious

Well, the guys only ever went by their first names and never said anything about their jobs or locations, because I think one of more of them might have had a somewhat sensitive job, possibly tied into the film industry. (Running a podcast where you make fun of shitty films might night bode well for that? "Flop House" and "How Did This Get Made" seem to be doing alright, though.) Either way, before they started the show - or at least well before it became as popular as it did - the 3 guys made a deal that if any internet shenanigans got too weird as a result they would shut it down. Some time in the summer last year some one found out specifically who one or more of the hosts was and basically decided that "the people have a right to know" or some other wannabe Julian Assange shit, despite them specifically telling him that they'd shut it down if he did. The person in question didn't back down, and now the show is gone (although, as mentioned, it is still archived on some sites).

It's a real bummer, because I don't believe it was anything like discovering their banking info or anything. But the hosts were up front about it, and they did the show for free, so they had a right to pull the plug whenever they wanted to, even for something as simple as posting their real, full names. And not looking for that info was the simplest thing in the world...

If it is anything like the stuff Woodysgamertag goes through you'd see why they'd want to quit if they weren't making bank like he does. Since his address got released he has had people knock on his door, mail him threats, and I think even weirder stuff.

It's a sad reality of the internet that it enables the unhinged to do these things. It is the same kind of thing movie and tv celebrities have put up with for a long time.

and I wonder about my neighbors even though I don't have them
but they're listening to every word I say
