Too many games, but....

I'm still replaying game's I'v already beaten over and over again, even though I'v not finished 80% of the games I own I'm simply replaying games I'v beaten over and over again just because they are damn fun. I was reading the Resident Evil 4 thread, beaten the game at least 4 or 5 times and fancied starting it up again, yet I have to force myself to sit down and finish most of my other games. I'm just curious as to what games you guys constantly play and beat again, even though you don't make any progress with them since you beat them a long time ago. The main offenders for me replaying levels in games are-

Resident Evil 4, Mercinaires mode
God Hand, 3 vs 1 Evil Stooges fight, Devil Hand fight, 3 vs 1 Love Guitar challenge, Demon Shannon Fight
Viewtiful Joe, Stage 2-2, Stage 5-2, Magnificent 5
Devil May Cry 3, Level 3, level 16
Sonic Rush
Sonic Advance 2
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow's Julius mode

And the most recent offender is stage 4 in the new TMNT game on the GBA

All of these games/bits of games I constantly boot up regularly and play over and over again just because I enjoy them a helluva lot, even though nearly all the challenge is gone since I'v played them so much, yet I still have many games to finish/start still on my shelf. I'm just curious to what your main offending sections of games are.

I don't know whether it counts but back in first year at Uni I could 100% a character on Tony Hawks 3 on PC in 43 minutes..

I never got bored playing the same bunch of levels over and over.

Half Life 2. I've finished that game probably 6 or 7 times now, and yet I still have about 90% of my current library to get around to. This includes games like RE4, Oblivion, Twilight Princess, FFXII, etc. The most recent offenders would be God of War 2 (on my second play-through now) and Guitar Hero 1/2 (long since "beaten" both, but I keep going back to them when I feel the need to rock).

    It's like that.

I play through Super Metroid at least once every year. I don't even try and do a speed run, or even try and beat my previous time or get 100%, I just play through the game.

    Also Grim Fandango.

Oh man I forgot I do this annually now.

The first time playing it since playing it on a 200Mhz Cyrix processor really scared me.. I couldn't for the life of me do the lift-shaft forklift puzzle. Drove me mad wondering if I'd missed something. Turned out I needed the patch to slow the game down and stop it using CPU cycles for that section..

Heh, a friend of mine was super proud of himself because he could do all the objectives on the first stage in one two-minute run. I couldn't decide whether to be impressed or pity him. :P

Oh that was pretty easy in THPS1.. I had a route down that would get the secret tape, SKATE and all the other gubbins in well under the two minutes.

The hard part of THPS3 100%ing was Japan. When the extra stats were hidden in the really hard to reach places up on rails that were impossible to get to..

Front Mission 4. It's not the story either. I just like buying new parts and designing new mechs. The nifty battle system is just icing on the cake.

I picked up THPS 2 for the PSone the other week, finished it 100% with one character in an hour, started again with the next skater right after. Got the first level down in the one run. I have no life.

The big EB/GS sale has prompted me to start playing my N64 again. I've decided that Ridge Racer 64 is probably the best Ridge Racer until V came out, mostly because it's silky smooth.

Last night I beat Starfox 64 again simply because everybody was talking about it on the virtual console.

Back in the 64 heyday I used to be OoT, Mario Kart, and Super Mario each like once a month because I really couldn't afford any new games, and the endings were just so awesome.

I still go pretty hard on Alpha Centauri, and set aside a few hours a month to start and finish a complete game in as many different ways as I can.

main ones are civ/alpha centurai although i don't know if these really count as they are completeley different every play through. Also Baldur's gate(both+exp) I get an urge to play through the whole thing from candlekeep to hell, but above anything else comes Fallout1 I must play this game 3/4 time a year and theworst thing is i always end up playing the exact same charector and route through the game, i know there are endless possibilities in the wasteland and i've treid most of them at least once but i just can't resist smashing children in the groin with a super sledgehammer...
    I'm so going to hell

The only game that I have played through more than once (at least, a story based, single player game) is Max Payne. At least, it's the only one I can remember.

I'm the complete opposite. I have no backlog.

In fact, the only reason I've replayed GoW2 5 times (well, besides it being awesome) is I have nothing new to play.

I actually borrowed Dirge of Cerberus from a friend and beat it twice. It wasn't quite as bad as people make it out to be, but it's not great, either.

I've beaten most games I've played. The only two I haven't finished (and don't own) are Super Mario Sunshine and Grandia 3. I didn't get too far in SMS (felt dated and boring) and I got to the last boss in Grandia 3 and realized the game (and battle system) were BS.
