Still working on getting the intro/outro to The Trooper sounding right. I definitely have the rhythm, I just need to work on taking my ring finger off the string when it needs to be off. The outro, which is identical to the intro on bass, is problematic because I'm so fucking tired by then.
On Aces High I've made pretty spectacular progress, especially on the riff with the longer run in it at 1m10s. Still working on getting the lower half of the riff at 1m53s/2m36s right.
This just in: TSW players hearing random soundclips like "He approaches" and "His lifeforce is almost restored".
Hah, I've been learning those on Rocksmith! The intro of Aces High, the weird harmonic pattern, it's waaay harder to play than it sounds. All of The Trooper is as hard as it sounds.
I love my paperwhite. Was really surprised how much difference the light makes.
The bass intro in Aces High has quick triplets on 3 string chords played every time the snare hits. That means I need to alt strum three separate strings with three fingers. Still gonna take some time to make that sound right too but it will always feel weird.
Rad and I both have Kindle touches and love them. Very simple layout and massive battery life. We use Amazon a lot which also helped with the decision.
Any recommendations on cases?

I like my kobo quite a lot, but with the caveat that you have to use Calibre and some tools if you want to buy stuff from amazon.
Yeah I saw that one. I want it to be as easy as possible for her to use too. My involvement has to be "oh you want to buy that book? Yeah we have the budget for that this month."

And yeah I you have Amazon Kindle's the way to go. Getting books is literally just choosing the book you want and waiting for it to show up on your kindle. Something that I know from personal experience happens faster than CC info is verified.

Depends on the developer mostly -- there's not really any good reason for a game to look better on them than you could set it up to on PC but like with NBA2k14, the next gen version is on a completely different engine than the PC and previous gen versions. You can only maybe come close to looking as good on the PC with significant modding and custom textures and whatnot. Kind of shitty they released it that way, but the only real reason that a PC version will not look better than the nextgen counterpart is if it's a bad port, which are common because most people who produce console games don't care about PCs.
