I've always thought it would be a good idea to put out some single player version of WoW after they decide to discontinue it. It wouldn't be the same but at least you could still play it.
seems like making wow single player would be kind of difficult tbh, a lot of mechanics are designed around the core gameplay of tank/healer/dps and they'd have to adapt all the bosses to make single player at all engaging

Well it's more about being a sort of museum that people can wander around in when the servers shut down.
I'd be fine with the gameplay as is, just make the bosses and enemies that require groups killable in a few hits, because who cares. It'd just be cool to preserve a game that massive in scope.
Eventually someone will cure colourblindness and WoW players will realise that it looks like someone vomited a partially digested rainbow on their screen.
