My room mate has an Xbox, I have a Wii and there is a single tv between us. What we would like to do is be able to have both consoles hooked up to the tv at the same time without having to move the television to get at the ports which are on its back. Is there such a cable set up, what does it look like, and where can we get one? Thank you all in advance, Wii want to play.

what cables are you currently using to hook both up? if your in the UK a scart adapter would be your best bet but i don't think SCART is used in the states?
We don't use SCART, just three RCA cables. You can get a 3-In 1-Out RCA switch cheap at RadioShack. There's a little knob on it that you can turn to the RCA input of your choice.
Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.
I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.
Actually having had a closer look at that item its not quite what we need. We want something that will run from the back of the tv to the front that we can plug either into. From what I'm seeing there, that just goes on the back.

See, you could plug both in at the same time with one of those boxes. It generally sits wherever you want, though usually in front so you can flip the switch or whatever.
Yeah I have like a 4 port switch. Your consoles plug into the box, box plugs into the TV. When you want to play wii, flip it to switch position 1, when you want to play the xbox, flip it to 2. This thing will do what you want.
OK, I must not be picturing it right in my mind then, sorry.
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=801888 <-- that thing. It's got a set of cables that plugs the box into the TV, then you plug your game systems into the back of it. If you wanna play the X-Box, press the button labeled X-Box, and so on. You won't have to move any systems around anymore.
(also has a port on the front, which is useful if someone brings a system when they visit)
Or you could buy an A/V receiver and use that as justification to also buy a set of surround-sound speakers. "Well, we already have the receiver that we bought for video switching..."
