Anyone have the Crackdown + Halo 3 beta disk? Quick question...

I purchased the Crackdown+Halo 3 beta combo off a private seller, and I wanted to verify that I didn't get screwed and the disk was changed for one without the beta:

Does the disk itself make any reference to the beta?

Can you see the beta on Live, but it's not yet available for download? (like, it's faded out or something).

Thanks!

The game itself is tied to the beta. There is no "non beta included" version of Crackdown, and it's not tied to a code on a piece of paper or anything.

You're fine, don't worry. Once the beta is officially released, the option to download it will light up, and you'll be all good to go.

Yeah, all Crackdown DVD's pressed before the Beta starts will have beta access, no questions asked.

Anyone notice how some things (mattresses and the copy machines in Highrise) are totally impenetrable? A steel wall, yeah that makes sense, but bullets should obliterate copy machines.

I don't know about you, but I always buy a bullet proof printer. Its a lot more expensive, but I think the advantages are apparent.

Also, if you go to the downloads section of the main menu, there should be something saying "Download Halo 3 Beta."

I got a fear this is going to bite them in the ass, the beta seems pretty goddamn huge.

When I first heard that Crackdown was carrying beta access I said to myself "Man, that game must be terrible." I'm pleased to say that I was wrong, and it's probably more all around/simple fun than Halo 3 will be.

The best defense is a good offense.

Nah, basic game company tactics. It's just a stress test, most likely the "beta" will be active about 1 month before the game is scheduled to come out. It will have a map or two and some but not all of the weapons will be useable. Think of it as a demo for Halo 3 that has no single player and is only active for about a month or so.
