File name input box disappeared.

Greetings.
I have windows 7.
Since a week or so ago, using Save As in any native program (notepad, paint, et cetera) doesn't display the input box for putting the desired file name to save the file under.
All I can do is save the file as "untitled" or cancel the saving.
Thank you for any help in advance.
