I have the plastic Devastator kit that I magnetized so I can swap between the other two kits. The downside is that I had to glue the arms in an open position.
I'll have to get the old metal Devastator some time and assemble it with the shield arms closed. It just looks so cuddly.

The middle class is big. Someone making $35k is going to be a lot different than someone making $100k, even though both can be in middle class. Too much variation. Some individuals have tons of debt. Some have no debt. Some have to deal with families, some are DINKs. Some live in rural Montana and have almost no cost of living, others live in Manhattan and are on the low end of middle class despite making a billion a year.
For my personal standpoint, I was saving quite a bit when I had a career. Since I quit my job and went back to school, I put a bit each year into my IRA but otherwise I don't really worry about trying to save money, I don't have the income anymore.

So far the reactions have ranged from "omg i love beards on men" to indifference. Nobody's like "ew beard" yet.
