I picked up bravely default on my way home from work. I've just played past the opening, but man is the art in this game gorgeous. @ me if you want to be 3ds friends and do whatever that means in this game.

In general I'm sad that Civ V hasn't spawned any supercrazy but still fun mods.
I went pretty deep with the Civ IV mods.

I guess too much of the games core is outside of the modders powers in Civ V.

Makes it seem a little more high stakes, focuses me more maybe or something, I dunno. Worth it just for recording all your stats at any rate.

MSF works a little like Venice in that they can't build settlers or annex cities, but they have a unique deal where if you pledge to protect a city state and then move one or more of your units into their borders, you receive income each turn for basically hiring out mercenaries. Also you get a Metal Gear unit that replaces the giant robot, and it can carry a nuke.

Outer Heaven also can't build settlers, but their great generals can found cities. And they get progress toward a golden age each turn for each war currently going on.

World Marshall gets additional delegates in the world council for being the shit out of other Civs. Aka diplomacy by way of war.

I would link to the collection because the creator deserves a lot of credit for creating interesting Civs with different mechanics and play styles, but I'm phone posting.

Blood Elves hate the Undead Scourge created by the Burning Legion. The playable Undead are a faction called the Forsaken that freed themselves from the Scourge's control and Thrall's forces accepted them.

Blood Elves are quite friendly towards Forsaken as seen in the second half of the Blood Elf newbie area.
