I also cannot recall ever seeing it in an Anime I've liked, a big reason being that it is almost impossible for me to like an anime that stoops to that level
Still can't believe I didn't even see that until this year
I only saw Castle In The Sky last week, I'm half glad I could see it at an age where I can appreciate many details in it, and half depressed I couldn't grow up with that in my life
If it's any consolation, my musical tastes are in general VERY unusual and I would not at all view myself as a guy who's opinion on music counted for anything
anime is too large to make universal statements on, but if you are an anime fan your favourite anime is probably shit
unless you are hullis or @miscellaneousinsanity because Legend of the Galactic Heroes is not only the best anime ever made it's the best space opera made to date, with Deep Space Nine as a close second
in the pale moonlight is the best episode of any star trek ever
Yes and no.
It is the best Trek Spinoff episode ever but somehow my favorite from that time were all TNG. Inner Light, All Good Things, Measure of a Man... At least half dozen more off the top of my head.

Steam
Redline is a triumph from an animation standpoint.
But, I would say outside of that, that it is pretty bad. Like the story, plot, characterization, etc.
I think it is worth watching for the visuals alone but I can see someone disagreeing on that.
It's at its worst whenever it tries to acknowledge its fan base
For example
"Humorous" girl-on-girl sexual assault
If you want my opinion on that and how commonly it's used, hoo boy you got it buddy
I quite enjoy more mundane anime like Tokyo Godfathers.
We choose anarchy. not because it is easy, but because it is hard
My body has been trapped in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber since the last anime thread waiting for my rematch with @Brogey
I don't recall it ever being used on any anime I've liked. Maybe you just watch Bad Anime™
But I've seen it often enough

Argh
I really want to want to watch the rest of Cowboy Bebop
But there's something about anime past a certain age that puts me right off
I love the opening (Tank!) and I found the 6 or 7 episodes I watched to be entertaining overall
But it is completely unappealing to me on both an audio and visual level
XBox LIVE: Bogestrom | Destiny

Did...
Did you just insult Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts?
Go to anime jail.
Never return.
Ever.
Steam

I don't like jazz so even good jazz is not something I enjoy
(I'm assuming those bands are jazz, I only remember hearing jazz music)
Yes my liege.
Because I was not an Anime.
and I did not speak out because I was not a
Not liking jazz is not something I can comprehend.
Like, I knew people who didn't like jazz must exist, I just didn't want to believe it.
I can't even be mad or upset about this. All I feel is sadness.
I need to listen to more jazz

I have no internet at home and the network I'm using blocks both Youtube and (as of 3 days ago) Giant Bomb
i'm just postin' some good Jazz

I suppose this must be what a sociopath feels like
Great there's another analogy for me to use
I'm a musical sociopath
Yes and no.

As for TOS I go with Balance of Terror.
