TableTop on Geek and Sundry

So, I have been watching this series on Geek and Sundry. After watching all of the episodes I finally went out and bought a new tabletop game. I bought Forbidden Island. It was only 15 bucks and I have to say, it is fantastic! I have never lost at a game so much and still had a blast doing it. I think my next purchase will be Munchkin or Ticket to Ride. Not sure though.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ok. First off, we have threads already dedicated towards these subjects. You don't need to make a new thread every time you get an idea in your head. Post this on the Board Games thread here on Critical Failures. This helps keep the board from becoming a clutered mess. You've been here less then a week and your only post have been new threads.

Second, Both those games are amazing and good pick ups. Either of them will help you pass hours with your friends.

Welcome to Penny Arcade and follow my advice so you don't get banned for being a bot or sellsmen if you aren't.

I am sorry if I posted in the wrong section... as you pointed out this my first week actually posting in the forums, but I am not pleased with the way you approached my topic.

First off, I have posted 2 new threads. I have replied to 3 threads. So please, if you plan on calling me out please do so with accuracy.

Secondly, the content of my posts clearly shows I have not tried to sell anything. And I am obviously not a bot. Once again.. if you want to call someone out on something perhaps you should do more than just taking a quick glance at someone's activity.
Third, I won't be returning to these forums. The first reply I have gotten to either of my posts is yours and if that is any indication of the community than I will be moving on.

Lastly, I don't just spend 60 bucks out of the blue. I like to get feedback from people who have purchased the items before hand. I was trying to get some feedback to make sure my money was spent wisely. Your "either is fine" response is neither helpful or congruent to someone who is trying to be helpful. It lends itself to someone who found a thread to complain about and decided to post a quick blurp about the actual topic in order to avoid warnings from the MODs for your inability to stay on topic and your inability not to flame someone for an honest question.

We have moderating staff, you are not one of them nor are you on the shortlist of candidates. We do not need you to harangue new users on our behalf.

its hard to go wrong with ticket to ride, its a really great game and pretty much universally loved. munchkin is a lot of fun too, but its much more dependent on having a group of people who are into the vibe to play it with.

edit: board games are awesome, welcome to the awesome party. get ready to spend all your money! :)

Don't be discouraged! This is a great place to get solid gaming feedback, no doubt. The general Board Game thread up now is fantastic, offering people's ideas on types of games, themes, etc., and it's honestly been a go-to for me as I've really started developing a collection recently due in large part to people discussing why they liked/hated a certain game. I also like to check out "Shut Up and Sit Down". Those guys are fun, and may have motivated me even more so than the PA discussions, which is saying something! Check 'em out! I've had zero regrets in my purchasing so far, no exaggeration.
