finding a capella songs?

I've always been a mild fan of well done acapella, and just recently have discovered how good (or awful) certain acapella groups can be. Is there some sort of radio station or website where I can hear acapella songs? Specifically, a site where I can listen to "contemporary" acapella songs? Because No Doubt with no instruments is surprisingly well done.

secretly canadian released an a capella album called "unaccompanied voice" -- it's not worth buying, but there's a few good tracks on it. -[-_-]-

i should say the label secretly canadian released it, it's a compilation CD with various members of different bands doing a capella tracks.

I know Rockapella from Carmen Sandiego.

I also know them as the band that inspired Indie Blockedappella

But yeah...No Doubt acapella songs? I've heard one that was from an Australian Radio show

I've heard the King's Singers do some good stuff, namely And So it Goes by Billy Joel.

In most realms people will tell you to start with Off the Beat which is the University of Pennsylvania's group. They are pretty good and have released a number of CDs. After that it becomes more about the song than it does the group. You should trying search for stuff in here because it really is the best stuff from each year. Of course this will lead you to many other college groups and I am not aware of any professional groups aside from Rockapella. Best of luck.

I used to sing with Exit 245 at James Madison University. They're awesome and keep getting better.
www.myspace.com/exit245 - they're myspace friendlist is full of great groups.
Here's a fun one I got to sing with Exit back in like 01.

Your best bet for a sampling of contemporary a capella will be from BOCA (best of college a capella)

    Hope this helps!

I have amassed quite a collection of contemporary a cappella songs. Many of the best of these come from college groups. My favorite is probably U Penn Off the Beat, but there are gems from many other groups too (Tufts Beelzebubs and Middlebury Dissipated Eight come to mind).

Some of the best performances are available on the (increasingly rare, sadly) Best of College Acappella series. The individual groups often sell CDs too, although these sell out so eBay may be your best option on some.

Also there's a great resource for buying A-cappella music at http://a-cappella.com/. Very cool.

If you can find a copy of the Swingle Singers Clair de Lune...do so.

A huge favorite of mine is "DaVinci's Notebook"

They sometimes do contemporary, but they usually make up their own hilarious songs.
