I would consider covering up/erasing the numbers on the badges if you're posting pics. My guess is they're there to make it so counterfeiters can only make duplicate badges (the numbers of which would become obvious as more and more people are wearing the same number), not perfect copies.
There's like 6 different ways to deter counterfits including an image that only shows up under black lights and things like that. I wouldn't worry about the number
Ya, I don't think the number means much. Frankly, I believe they are a count of the number of badges sent out. I feel like if they wanted to start making fakes, it would be as easy as picking a number from 5000-15000 and posting it on there.
Another thing I noticed though were some white spots on the printing process of the actual badge. On 2 of my passes there is a white spot that it looked like the printer missed a spot on. Does anyone else have this?

I wouldn't worry about it. Last year my passes arrived and a few were covered with glue (not sure why, perhaps the envelope was poorly glued together). I rubbed it all off, but in the process a couple of the holograms were basically ruined. Nobody cared.
Badges Acquired. Totally relieved. I get nervous every year around this time as I watch other folks post that they have theirs and mine still aren't here!

since I had to purchase mine midway while moving across the country. LITERALLY KANSAS! We missed the Saturday passes, but I got our Fri & Sun ones today. Had them mailed to me via my friend. Woo woo!
