Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I thought the controversy of buttons for uf and ub inputs in Marvel is that IT IS CHEATING AND ALLOWS YOU TO BLOCK ALL CROSSUPS AND INCOMING MIXUPS.
There WAS a rule put into place because of Hitbox, after it was discovered that it can block both ways. It forced Hitbox to retool their whole PCB to prevent those inputs from working in that way.
Is that not the case here? Were there tests done to make sure that FS' stick couldn't block both ways simultaneously?

As far as I'm aware, Marvel was patched so that you couldn't block both sides simultaneously anymore even before Hitbox installed the SOCD cleaner. I'm not positive, but I think it was only a bug in vanilla MvC3 that was patched. In which case, yeah, FS's buttons are just for doing TK seismos etc.

I'm under this impression too.
In any case, I feel this is a step past select plinking. It's also a macro that does not exist in the game naturally. I know select plinking is controversial, but it is nothing more than moving an already existing button. I don't personally like it, but I would not disallow it in my tourneys.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Yeah I just looked it up, vanilla MvC3 was the only game where holding both left and right let you block both ways, you can't do that in UMvC3, so FS's stick won't allow him to block both ways.
I'm enjoying watching TTT2 a lot more now that I've actually played it. Before now, I'd only had very brief experience with T3 and TTT1 a long time ago and didn't really know much about it beyond the fact that you could play as a bear.

Spooky commentary is so unfamiliar yet awesome for Tekken.
