    Speaking of AC

That con I went to yesterday

So many Assassin's Creed cosplayers there

The curious bit? With the exception of one Ezio and one Edward-inspired Assassin, they were all Connors

Connor is, theoretically, the most interesting Assassin so far.

Big fat F on execution, but if I went in blind and read a one-line description of all of them, Connor is the one I'd want to hear more about.

Just finished my good-guy playthrough of Infamous. I've not played the other two in the series but I really, really enjoyed this game.

I bought Bravely Default yesterday. It's pretty fun so far.

    Agnes is real annoying though.

I think the thing I like most about Infamous is the way it integrates touch-pad controls

Touch controls are usually the worst thing in the world because you're often forced to let go of the controller (or forego it completely)

The small actions in this that require the touch-pad are really novel though, I love it

Bravely Default wears all its clichés on both its front sleeves and keeps shoving them in your face going LOOK, LOOK AT THIS

your party is made up of Guy From Destroyed Town, Crystal Guardian Girl, Amnesic Guy and Turncoat Enemy General.

    It's fucking great.

Ground Zeroes has been really, really good so far. Like, gameplay wise I keep thinking of different ways to tackle the missions or handle certain situations. The mechanics are really starting to click and I am hooked.

And it is really interesting to see MGS take such a different tone in storytelling, and how minimal it is in GZ. But the gameplay is just superb.

I was gonna maybe cave and buy GZ but a friend will let me borrow it instead

Which is good, I really didn't feel like paying $30 for a two-hour game

Brad comparing it to FC3 on the latest Bombcast made me at least want to dig into it

oh my god this part of Yakuza 4 is so perfect

there's this big dumb plan that's so big and dumb and the immediate next cutscene explains in detail why it was so dumb

GZ is a bit odd. If someone just wants to play through the main mission and see the story and be done once, there is zero way I can recommend it to them.

But if they have any interest at all in digging into the game I would recommend it 100%, even at full price. I've already put in at least 10 hours and will easily put in 10 more before I am done with the game, if not more. I am not sure if there is a way to see how long you have played a game via the PS4's UI, because there doesn't seem to be a timer built into GZ itself.

Apparently Blizzard is bringing Diablo 3 PS4 to PAX East

Maybe then we'll finally know when it's coming out

At some point I decided to hold off on playing Diablo 3 at all until that one's out

I still haven't replayed the main mission in GZ yet, I'm hooked on the side stuff.

D3 on PS4 would be rad. Diablo 3 seems so much better suited to being a party game than something you play at a computer to me.

Yeah basically no game ever at this point can get me to hunch over a desk with a mouse and keyboard

Even if Diablo 3 is genuinely a much better experience click click clicking

Being able to laze about on a couch is much more important to me

Well it's ridiculously easy to join up with people for multi on the PC, if that's what you mean. I'd think the local play would be more frustrating, since you're stopping everytime anyone wants to fiddle with their loot (which is all the time) and I'm pretty sure the loot doesn't drop for each individual person in console local offline play (so someone could nab every piece of loot leaving you high and dry).

Ideally, people would be in the same room and networked online either on the PC or console.

Also if you're hunching uncomfortably over KBAM, you're playing PC games wrong. Office chairs can be quite comfy.

Nah, none of those things were what I was really thinking about at all.

Diablo just seems much better as an experience where everyone is on the same couch, laughing and yelling at each other as dumb stuff happens on the screen. Maybe they can streamline loot and equipping stuff using the touch pad on the DS4 somehow. Really the game should just auto equip the best thing you guys have found so far for each slot, the less time fiddling with gear and the more time killing mans the better.

I am pretty excited for Helldiver on the PS4 for similar reasons.

The list is out, for now it's just gonna be AC4, NBA 2K14, CoD Ghosts, Thief, and Watch Dogs when it comes out

That could change in a month or so, of course
