[PATV] Monday, March 31, 2014 - Penny Arcade: The Series Season 4, Ep. 7: The Arcade
I'll bet Scott beat the high score and sent a VHS recording of his epic Dig Dug run to the PA officials for verification, but they rejected it. You can see the whole story unfold in the upcoming documentary: The Duke of Dug.

I only ever played on arcade machines a couple of times, although my favourite by some way at my local arcade was Rampart - then when I was 17 we had a family holiday in Disney Florida, and we all had park hopper passes that got us into all the disney venues for free. Parks closed at 10pm, but there was one "attraction" that was open until 2am called Disney Quest. The place was basically a 5-storey arcade with all the machines on freeplay, and I went there every night for two weeks - it was awesome.
Long story short, point blank is the greatest arcade game ever.

My question is: how integrated into the office environment is Katie? Was this filmed before she was there, or is her place or positioning somehow different to where she won't show up a lot in these? Or is she not 'contracted' for these (or however that works)?
This is by far my favorite PATV episode. Seeing and hearing these classic machines again has stirred some wild memories of Arcades I used to play in as a kid. Would love to see Mikes Arcade machines being mimicked in a section at PAX. That's the only thing I feel Pax is missing is a decent retro arcade and pinball section.
Gah--- I can't decide what is the best job ever: D&D writer, PA intern (seriously would fetch shit all day for these guys) or...an arcade employee (not even an oqner, just a lowly scamp....so I can just hang with gamers, gaming, fixing machines....)
I'm have such a great time reminiscing with my brothers about our 'arcade'--just found out they closed it!! W T F!? darn kids and their mobile phone games...

Just look at it.
God damn it.
When I first walked into it I said "wow" and he said "I know right? I'm a big deal".
No, a Khoopticon!
so awesome
... Why? Am I missing something?
Sheer force of will, I bet.

There's a SECOND floor?
Seeing this makes me want to have an arcade of my own.
