So I ended up getting some Rackham miniatures as a lark of a gift today. They're actually pretty neat.

I got these guys:

They're pretty neat, really. I think the person who gave them to me heard that I liked Orks and got me the Orcs they could find.

I don't know jack about this game. Can anyone enlighten me? These seem like some real quality minis.

I've seen some of these guy's minis before. Some really awesome humans, and this one fencer dude really stood out.

I think their gobblins are also samurai themed which gets an amazing amount of points in my books.

I know they are also currently working on a more sci-fi themed game, not sure how well they will mesh with 40k models for conversions or what not.

Sadly I know nothing about the games themselves really.

I'm a little sad they're so distinct from 40k. I can't really see conversion of these into 40k orks.

I might try and trade them for Rackham's dwarves and make a space dwarf army.

rackham makes some of the best minis hands down. However, they are coming out with a new version of confrontation this year and moving to pre-painted minis for their standard troops (boo).

Take a look at their different models they are insane in quality:

I have Dirz, Drunes and Griffons for my warbands.

The game is skirmish style and pretty complex. It's a love it or hate it game.

They have some pretty slick sci-fi dudes.

These guys might have some promise as Necrons.

Maybe not standard Orks, but with some work they might be able to become Ferals of some sort.

I actually want to trade them for those Dwarves that Rackham makes.

you guys should you know, try confrontation....in many ways it trumps 40k as a skirmish game. 40K to me has always been a lackluster game.

You know, I'd probably give it a chance if there were anyone around that actually played this game.

Even the stores I go to that carry Warmachine or whatever don't have Rackham stuff.

They're wonderful minis, though, and I really do want some of dems dwarves.
