Huh, you're right. I'd say that it's likely a coincidence, but Colin is there to, which allows for the possibility of other future characters having been in it as well.
Huh, I figured she wasn't from the camp.

Remembering the fact that the first strips were done way before the others, I would deem it a possibility that Purdy made her first appearance in the FOURTH PANEL of the comic. Like the fourth panel of the first comic. Everything but the eyelashes (And that mania) match, if we stretch the hair a bit. But I might be wrong. Until the word of god provides answers, I rest my case.

You are correct, albeit it's not the first comic. It's the comic where he goes out in his underwear, she is sitting on top of a tree and she appears to actually have the eye thing as well.
Katie knows her stuff with bringing back characters.

I knew about that one, I just suspected that it (The one in the first comic) might be a dropped design of her, which was replaced with the current one. They are similar enough for it to be a POSSIBILITY. I ain't saying it's a fact.

Looked at it by "enhancing" the image and the only difference is that she doesn't have her jacket or shotgun plus there's less details in her hair (which is forgivable as Katie draws with less detail if the character is smaller). She has the freckles and everything, so most likely early design.

I was thinking that Purdy was based off these designs from 2011 to early 2012 but I was wrong.

"You are so FUNNY!" I got chills. I knew a girl like that when I was a kid. She was cool until she was scary, and when she intoned lines that way, she was a hair's length from scarytown. Every time I re-read this strip, I hear that girl's voice in my head.
