24 isn't genre, therefore shielded from typical Fox politics. They really love screwing with genre tv shows there.
Their rep for genre shows wouldn't be so dire had they cared enough to manage them properly, not cancel them so much it's a punch line whenever a new genre show gets green lit.
So anyway 3 hours left, who you got on your death card? I'm figuring Mini Terry Crews will be next.

Aw. I'm starting to like him. But you're right, they haven't given him a lot of personality other than asshole who hates Sarah Walker and those who want Sarah Walker to quit the CIA have a death sentence.
Also, he's somewhat busy going forward, career wise. So yeah, he's toast.
I know, I was starting to like him too, but he's boned. I mean we already lost Jordan (man rough night for my namesake, dies on 24, gets kicked off master chef), so MTC is doneski.

Like, there was a week between them filming the teaser trailer and it debuting online. That was a shot with a ton of effects and such that the majority of the show doesn't usually need. They crank these episodes out.
I just lost it right about there.

Just an all around great episode.

Also, the silent clock is gospel.
Stephen Fry
They couldn't show it happening since 24 doesn't do flashbacks. ;D
It was margots fault, if she's fired the missile immediately like her son wanted, Heller wouldn't have had a chance to get away.
24 does do flashbacks right before every damn episode they give you the Alzheimer recap.

Fuck, now I want a video with the renegade interrupt button flashing before Jack kills Margot.

If they were never going to show Kate's husband because he killed himself off screen, they should have just made it a picture of Zach Levi. Or Michael C. Hall. That would have been layers, man.
Mostly because I like him as a character. Tate makes him very sympathetic, too much so. It makes his decision to forge Heller's signature even more crazy pants stupid.
I mean, if you're going to do this, you have to make me hate that character, so that I look forward to when he inevitably gets caught. That's the opposite of what I want!

The 24iest sentence!
EDIT: Also, Yvonne Strahovski remains very, very pretty.
The scene where Jack and Kate tricked Navarro was great; those two characters who are not actors were doing some really good acting! Kate was doing more amazing work with her Jack Bauer impression, and I really would not have been surprised if Jack had shot her right then. He's done it before. Speaking of Kate, the development and resolution of her husband story was really well done. Navarro really did a number on her life with that. Career ruined, Kate blames herself for not seeing how evil her husband was, husband commits suicide because his wife doesn't believe his innocence, Kate blames herself for not believing her innocent husband. Ouch.
I also loved the reverse reveal about Chloe's family. After a series of surprises this episode, when Cross leaned in to confess something about the death of Chloe's family, I actually might have rolled my eyes a bit. It was twist overload. And then the twist was that nothing actually happened. Their death was just an accident. Not everything is part of a larger conspiracy, even in 24 land.
Until its revealed next episode that the driver of the truck was Zombie Charles Logan, out for revenge.
Tony.

Because he ate them.

When was the last time we saw Tony? End of Season 7? I think he was just taken into custody, iirc. Considering this season is basically 24's greatest hits, I would totally not be surprised if Tony showed up in one of the last two episodes.

So much scenery chewed, but I'm sure it was just fun for Bratt to have that duality of a scene with Keifer. Though I'll admit Keifer came out the better for it in both instances.

They are actually dealing with the russian threat this year, not putting it off and having it be some thing at the end of the season. And they realized Cross was way too weak to be an overall villain, so he wasn't. Boom done.
