Populous: The awakening isnt working

So I have this game, up to date as far as I know. When I run it the game goes straight to the multiplayer screen and the "back" button drops me back to my desktop. I don't get any sort of main menu or anything like that, no intro screen.

Any ideas?

    I don't think Populous: The Awakening is a game that exists in real life.

    Perhaps he means Populous: The Beginning?

    The PS1 version took up an ENTIRE memory card. I mean what the hell. There is no way it should need that much data. I'm not even sure you could save mid-level.
