Famitsu Multi-Format Survey

In an interesting poll recently featured on Japanese magazine Famitsu's online service quizzed readers on various upcoming games that are currently exclusive to one or two systems that they would like to see go multiplatform.

1. Monster Hunter 3 (PS3) 316 votes
# Readers would like to play it on the 360, with good online functions, controller (rumble support) and voice chat.
# With multiplatform gamers, the online world would be a lot bigger.
# Gamers want to hunt with the Wii remote.

2. Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) 314 votes
# Gamers want to see the latest MGS on the 360 given the popularity of the series and the fact quite a few readers already own a 360.

3. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) 196 votes
# 360/Wii as the current PS3 marketshare is not large enough - gamers feel if it were released on the 360 it would be a huge hit.

4. Dragon Quest IX (DS) 47 votes
5. Biohazard 5 (PS3,360) 37 votes

Other comments:
# Releasing a good title on only one platform, like Dead Rising, is a total waste. Capcom, please!
# If they release DQIX multiplatform, the game industry would explode.

hmm...

Wait, are these Japanese people voting?

    Japanese people in Japan?

Japanese people in Japan wanting games on the 360?

    I'm lost.

Interesting considering PS3 sales have already passed 360 sales in Japan.

Sounds like both Japanese people with a 360 read Famitsu.

Wait, we're still talking about Japan, right? When did this happen?

360's been out for quite a bit longer than the PS3 in Japan, just like the rest of the world. Surely the people who bought it in the last year would like MGS and FFXIII. And people who would buy a system just for those games would probably want to buy a cheaper system to play those games.

the only possible explanation for this is that only Japanese 360 owners had time to vote, as those who own either a Wii or PS3 were too busy playing games. :P

Wait, I might be missing something here, but only a few hundred people completed Famitsu's online poll? I remember Gamefaqs had a poll on the PS3 and it had 75,000 respondents in a day. I could understand the low response rate from say, Dengeki Xbox or something, but Famitsu?
