    Man, cat is sneaky today.

I was kinda hoping that someone would be mad at Malachi...

Some days this comic really pulls my heartstrings. This one was lovely!

After today's update, I went back to read the previous strip and only just noticed the BBs scattered everywhere after Brian smashes the gun. Totally overlooked that before!

That cat has such a look of disdain.... love it!

LoL love the look on Brian's face in panel 6! He REALLY doesn't like being hugged does he? And Seventeen's glare at Purdy, wonderful!

Great comic as always! Reading the new Wedonwantcha is the highlight of my day!

Why is she laughing at his abuse marks?

@azith28 Because she caused them (panel 6)

I guess, but the marks dont seem to match up with her slap. Just looks odd, like he was bitten several times...either way those look like bruises. I dont think its quite what it appears to be.

She caused them, but not by slapping him. Those are the spots where she shot him with the BB's in the previous strip. In his berserker state he was fighting against bees that were attacking him, but that was actually him being shot multiple times.

  • blkliteblklite Registered User new member
Are those bee stings from the previous comic?

  • CartonBoxCartonBox Registered User new member
The marks are from Purdy shooting him with a BB gun in the previous comic, not from some unspecified abuse he may have suffered in the past. Those wasps flying around him in the previous comic were his visualization of the "sting" of a BB.

  • Dexter345Dexter345 Registered User new member
@azith28 @kver I had assumed those were marks from the BBs that she shot Brian with in the last comic. In panel 6, she slaps him and only then does he feel the pain from the bruises that the BBs caused.

  • azith28azith28 Registered User regular
Oh, i didnt even get that she was actually shooting.

No overanalysis from me this time, just giggling at Seventeen.

  • tinwatchmantinwatchman Registered User regular
So is this Malachi actually giving Brian his due? Or is he pretending to be the "bigger, braver and brighter" figure he's talking about?

  • XMinusOneXMinusOne Registered User regular
I have a 'feline' someone isn't very impressed with Malachai's acceptance speech.

  • OreoOreo Registered User regular
@azith28 I think that is a sort of nervous laugh about hurting him and hoping he won't pound her for it.

    Purdy's Dhalsim in disguise.

Hmm, so did Purdy laugh out of nervousness, or at Brian's bruises?

  • SethPCSethPC Registered User new member
Man, Malachi is such a little wiener.

    Goddammit.
Forget the damn rabbits, you're stuck out in the wilderness and need protein.

  • olimayolimay Registered User regular
Aww, angry Seventeen! I'd watch out, Purdy...

    TinWatchMan:
I suspect he is giving Brian his due. I tend to read the art in comics as being from the perspective of the main character, except when there is clearly a discrepancy (which is usually done for humorous reasons...)

In this case, the 'glow' or halo around Brian as Malachi finishes makes me think that he is the one referred to.

I think that was a mislead (i.e. the joke), he's talking about himself.

My guess is at his bruises because Purdy is wonderfully insane, and because that is what most likely invoked Seventeen's great expression in the same panel.

Congrats, Malachi! You are now the #2 man in CWAPS!

  • osaryesosaryes Registered User regular
Gotta love Brian. Stoicism in its purest!! Better if combined with an egoistic midget.

  • WaxxyOneWaxxyOne Registered User regular
    The cat is not impressed.

  • ShokewShokew Registered User regular
I'm really disliking Malachi. Seriously, Brian and Seventeen are the only things to read this comic for, besides the brilliant dark humor usage this camp is riddled with at every turn.

  • ShokewShokew Registered User regular
That line in the last panel...

I like this comic and all, Katie - but this is from me to Malachi:

NO, Jerkass. You better be lucky to accept being Brian's janitor after all that went down here because of your BS! Seventeen would make a better vice president tat your weak ass.

    Thank you.

You have to give Malachi credit. Out of all the kids in this camp, he most truly belongs.

I've really loved this storyline ^_^

I just noticed that Malachi gave up his bandage to help the weasel. He's not all bad, afterall.

There has been an increasing sentiment of dislike for Malachi as of late.

I just wanna say, I love the character Malachi because I hate the person.

Weasels will bite. They've got quite a bit of jaw strength because they murder rabbits three times their own size.
A pissed-off and injured weasel isn't something I have any desire to hold or come near.

OKay, I really need some help here. Where is that cat?! I've been trying to find it for two days!

  • davidhbrowndavidhbrown Registered User regular
Tiny hint for @J-Mental, it's not in a tree
Another tiny hint: it's at the edge of a panel.
(Not much of a spoiler, but I haven't used that tag on this forum before and figure I should test...)

    last panel, bottom right

  • pilfropilfro Registered User regular
This is the first time I had no issues finding it. I thought she would have the cat kill the weasel.
