Simple ones really. Is there any way to wipe a ds cart of saved games, Like Advance Wars or Meteos progress that seems to extend to any saved game on that cart. For used games, obviously.

And (and forgive me if this is not acceptable to discuss on these forums, im kinda new.) Any thoughts on which of the different Homebrew solutions are best I was looking at the R4 but i really dont know anything about them, or what the differences are between them.

Lastly, i havent gotten the Wi-Fi dongle yet, but if i should, am i right in thinking that you need a friend code just to start up a Wi-Fi game? or is there some sort of anonymous matchmaking system?

Thanks in advance! ;-)

In the options there should be a place to erase data from a ds cart. (on the game).

I have no idea what you are talking about in this paragraph.

And for this one, there is a random battle, but some of the stuff you can do is restricted. I don't have an example for this at the moment because my ds has went into hiding.

Most (if not all) have a system that finds wifi games for you. You only need friend codes if you want to play someone specific.

But don't get the Wifi Dongle---just get a wireless router. Maybe a few bucks more, but at least you can use it for something useful...

Whats wrong with the Dongle? Ive already got a wired network and have no real need to go wireless so a wifi router isnt really useful to me.

Nothing wrong with the USB dongle, but a router has a better range, giving you more ability to move around while playing.

In my old apartment, for example, my computer was in the main room, and with the USB dongle I got a weak signal in the bedroom on the opposite side of the apartment.

With the wireless router, that isn't an issue.

Another good reason to get a router: You don't have to have your PC on to access internet on the Wii or Wifi play on DS.

There isn't a big trial and tribulation of getting a friend code. Your ds and game cart make it for you when you first connect to Wi-fi. To play with a friend though you have to have their friend code and they need yours.

The dongle should do you just fine but future proofing and snagging a wireless router could be good. Probably has a better range aswell.

For homebrew that's a whole egg I don't wanna crack. I know there's one guy on here who knows a lot about it. I can't recall the name but his avatar has an anime chick spinning around a wiimote. Name is mntorankusu. This thread might answer your questions.
