We all know what we look like, right? The clothes we wear, our facial structures, what our bodies look like, our bearing, the cultural context within which we move, etc., all those things we have a completely sober view of...
right
Everyone has a picture of themselves in their head, which both is at odds with and informs the person that the world sees. I want this to be a thread to talk about and illuminate those things we see in ourselves. As an exercise, I made a sketch of myself without consulting a photo or mirror.
Stuff I'm self-conscious about, namely my nose, worry lines, and stubble, got emphasized, as did my cheek-bones and tilt of my eyes, two features I like about how I look.
So come on, SE++. Give it a shot. Sketch yourself, post it, and talk about what it says about how you see yourself.

I doubt the picture's changed much 16 years later. But I don't have a scanner anyway.
