I keep getting PMs about this and there's also been posts regarding it, so here's the deal: the Industry Thread is not coming back in the foreseeable future.
For now, news stories can go in the appropriate threads or even stand as their own thread if you feel it's important or big enough to warrant specific discussion. Note that standalone threads still need more substance than a simple link/discuss format. Put some effort in there, maybe grab multiple sources, and then post. Also, do not send PMs asking when the Industry Thread will come back, as the answer is going to be either "I don't know" or "Never" (if you even get an answer).
I'm sorry if this disappoints some people, but we've given the thread numerous tries to correct the behavior and it never seems to stick.
