I was dog-sitting for my friend this weekend and used his Xbox, downloaded my gamer tag and installed the Xfinity app to watch some of my shows and such. He has Xfinity internet, but not TV. The app worked fine. When they got back, they thanked me for installing the app and started watching a bunch of shit on their Xbox using the Xfinity account that is under my name, even though my gamer tag requires a password to even log into their system. I thought that since logging into my gamer tag required a password, they wouldn't be able to use the Xfinity app, and thus no complications.
Normally, I wouldn't care about something like this, but Comcast is a real bitch about things and I don't want to get double-charged for using my TV subscription at a location that is does not subscribe to their TV but does to their internet.
Anyone know of any issues with this or the possible repercussions? I feel like a complete dick telling them to uninstall the app, but I kind of want to keep my subscription without getting double-charged or anything. I use the app on my Xbox frequently, but haven't used it since they said they were using it on their Xbox.
While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.
