The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
This is a sketch I did of a character from the story with the lion man I posted pictures of a while back. After showing it to a few of my close friends, one of my favorite artist friends suggested that his nose didn't fit with the style.
So I changed it here in the inked version. Obviously the figure in the background is still unfinished, but I want to hear what you guys have to say. I need the brutality of the PAAC as much as I need the input from my own friends, who, because they are friends, are not as hard on me.
I moved his nose up just a little bit in this one. Does it look better?
I guess it is a tad short. I used to have a big problem with drawing heads too small, so it's probably a side effect of my trying to improve that but not being quite there yet. Funny thing is, I used guidelines. I drew the circle, then the oval, then the line halfway down, and the one halfway under that one, etc. His nose was a pain, but I definitely see how the angle is off. I couldn't get it to look right for the life of me because my pencil kept wanting to redraw the old nose, which made no sense in the sketch.
I think the problem might be that the nose is too far down on the face. You drew the line halfway, but that line was supposed to mark more towards the bottom of the nose than you made it.

Other than those two little niggles, good stuff. Nice inking.
Thank you so much for your input!
