Lost my Facebook login. Have exhausted all options.
Hi guys. I reset my Facebook password around the time of Heartbleed and then forgot it. Next thing my phone was stolen so I no longer had access to that way of getting on. My security question isn't working either. There's an option where you send three bits of code to three friends and then they send it back to you and you enter them all. Welp I tried that and one of my friends received a broken link?! Oh yeah and the email I registered under hasn't been accessed in years and I no longer have the password for it.
This is really frustrating and I know it's a massive first world problem but I have a lot of friends on there who I don't get to see evry often as they're overseas. Not to mention loads of messages that are quite important to me personally. I was wondering whether you guys know of any alternatives? I'm sure that at some point there was an option to just show them your ID or
something.
Or do I just need to let go? I am happy to do that but not until I'm 100% sure I've tried everything.

I would try the friend thing again and then try to get access to that old email account. That will probably be easier than Facebook's stupidity.
It's not allowing me to do that anymore. Have tried retrieving the email but the email it's backed up with is also outdated.
I suspect that there's probably someone who would just need to press a button to fix this but getting to that person is the issue...
Otherwise, why can't you try that send code to friends thing again, if one received a broken link? Again, I'm social media-averse and don't really know what kind of waters you're navigating (not having a support e-mail is not cool). And I guess you learned that lesson, but in the future, use e-mail addresses you have access to. Even if it's a spam/dump e-mail account, keep it semi-current.
