Uncanny Portents in the early DLC Podcasts
I recently started listening to the DLC podcasts, so I've been crawling through the archives from the beginning. It's an interesting time capsule of what was new 5 years ago, but I find it especially interesting to hear about their thoughts for the status and future of the PA company and its initiatives, and how those thoughts match up with what actually happened. What drove me to make this topic was when today I was listening to episode 35 of season 1, and in the first half they're discussing how they were being contacted about potentially having a show made about Penny Arcade (which presumably they went with and it led to PA TV) and whether or not they wanted to do it. What really made me laugh out loud was when Mike threw out basically the concept of Strip Search off the top of his head, and did so specifically as an example of something they
wouldn't do! Though it sounded like even right after he said it they both quickly became intrigued by the idea, so presumably they kept mulling it over for a while afterwards; but if that really was the very inception of the Strip Search idea, I find it extremely amusing that it just happened to both occur in that way and to get incidentally caught on microphone.
Anyone else have any comments about things that have ever struck you as interesting from crawling the archives of the news posts or podcast?

Prescient.
"Only one of these cartoonists will get to be the next...actually, I would watch that show."
i think that's also the same episode where Mike sings until Jerry threatens to fuck his trachea.
I need to know which one that is
Yeah, it's the same episode, which as I mentioned is episode 35 of season one. Strip search gets thrown out at about 18:14, and the singing is around 22:00.
