In all seriousness it was a really heavy movie. Like, a "shatter your heart and punch you in the stomach" sort of experience. But we laugh to hide our tears.
I get misty eyed whenever there's a huge epic moment or some scene where the music is all huge and triumphant and everyone's all "wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" at the end
I cried during Pan's Labyrinth. Also, the bench scene in High Fidelity. And the aforementioned episodes of Futurama, and Iron Giant. Also, some songs make me cry like a girl. The one that comes to mind is They'll Need A Crane by They Might Be Giants, when the phone call comes up, I'm gone. Oh, and Brian Wilson.
Oh man, I cried at the end of the Jade Falcon series of Robotech novels, hahaha.
man, the only Jade Falcons that I know of is Battletech.
explain yourself
Well, Battletech originally ripped off alot of their designs from Robotech... I dunno.
IT CAN'T BE DON'T RUIN IT FOR ME.
I REFUSE TO.
goddamn i'm going to bed, i don't even care!
fuckin jade falcons are some bad motherfuckers though
Clan Wolf, you sonofabitch
well i mean you got clan ghost bear and smoke jaguar and all that, they're both pretty badass, too bad one's been annihilated
clan wolf's pretty cool too.
but as it is, i'll talk about this at another time cause bed!

Wolf's Dragoons, bitches. The end of Wolves on the Border is so fucking sad. Incidentally I have the Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy sitting on my desk right now, I have been meaning to read it forever. Battletech>>>>>Robotech.
First fictional thing I remember crying at: The Pern book where the Masterharper dies. I was a huge Anne McCaffrey fan.
I read the one you're talking about. It's the one where they uncover this computer from the original landing and it helps them stop all future threadfalls.
I pretty much hate McCaffrey but I read anything I could get my hands on when I was in Iraq.
i was sad when book died, i was sadder when wash died... but then when they had the whole funeral at the end it got me
Battlestar Galactica -
The scene with Tigh and his wife was really sad, and a close second is Starbuck dying, although the whole episode you kinda knew it would happen. i was in denial until the end though, thinking that they could not possibly kill off starbuck.
I watched Charlotte's Web today at my Grandma's today.
So sad until the very end with the baby spiders, at which I started to laugh because it just seemed so rediculous.
oh man, when my brother was in like second grade or something, he watched Charlotte's Web (at home) and started bawling and screaming "I don't want to die!"
he's retarded
at the time it was sad, but now i laugh at it because he's a douchebag
My mom's friend cried so hard when the ant died in Honey I Shrunk the Kids that I thought it was part of the movie. (We were in a theater at the time, so I couldn't see that she was the one crying right away)

crying over one of his creatures biting the big one
Fuck reading the rest of the topic. I saw it, I made a few (tasteless) jokes during it, but as it kept going on I stopped making said jokes. I was about to cry at the end.
i was sad when book died, i was sadder when wash died... but then when they had the whole funeral at the end it got me
"I am a leaf on the wind...."
Damnit!
I made myself sad.
I never read the book, but I saw the Terabithia movie and it hit pretty hard.
I think the only thing in this thread that hasnt gotten me (besides the comics and anime) was Where the Red Fern Grows, and thats only cause Ive never read it. I seriously dont know how I got through school without having to read it, cause apparently everyone everywhere had to read it.

you can appreciate it and say it was good
but love is a weird thing to say about it

Also, Sam's Story by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

"Pursuit of Happiness" had me feeling pretty down all the way up until the end where you are just filled with glee.
I thought it was done so poorly.
It was like "Whoops, that guy died. So, how about them Nick's?"
you mean like nick faldo and nickelodeon
