Not a bad main event. Sort of meh.

The lack of a crowd orgasm when Cena and Reigns finally went at it might be a bad sign for Reigns.

I need to see the guy perform in a singles setting for a long time until I anoint him, I just don't think he's close to ready.

    You know who is ready?

    This guy!

I dont think you can reasonably put the title on Orton, Kane, or Reigns right now so this is fine?

I was more griping about the godawful interview on the post show. I resigned myself to Cena winning this match a while ago.

Cena losing after he just won it three weeks ago made no sense. And honestly, with the state of the roster he's the best guy to hold it right now.

    Always? really?

I'm hoping that we get a "Hollywood" type heel turn once his time on top is over with.

The whole show felt lackluster. Not bad, just kind of...there.

I'm not feeling Reigns at all. I like him, but I don't think he's ready to be at the top of the card. I realize they're short on proven talent at the moment, but I hope they slow down his monster push. I don't want to start hating the guy, and I kind of see it turning out that way if they keep forcing it.

I was disappointed about the Ambrose/Rollins deal. It makes sense to do it that way, but that match was by far the one I was most interested in.

    Miz=meh.

Miz is fine. Honestly I'd love to see face Cesaro vs this heel version of Miz now just to make up for how bad their first feud was.

It felt like a WCW show to me. Great undercard, boring and predictable main event.

I'm sure they can get Reigns there, it'll just take a bit of time. He doesn't have much going into this other than 'wants title, hates orton' right now from what i can tell?

Yeah good thing they didn't put the title on him this soon. I'll take "predictable" over "fuck up a promising talent by giving him the title too soon".

Reigns needs an actual feud first to build his character

    Kane or Orton perhaps

I like how you guys blame the moves Reigns does on him and not the fact that that's how they want him to get over. Have you guys not met John Cena? He can, and does, bust out moves when the occasion calls for it, but he's best known for the shoulder blocks, the suplex slam thing, the 5 knuckle shuffle, the AA, and the STF. That is how they want Reigns to be.

Cena has a much larger move set than Reigns. By a large margin.

I'm reluctant about Reigns too. He's gonna have to learn how to work a good singles match at some point or fans are gonna start to turn on him. He's got natural charisma though, and that's a rarity. I also I don't think he's going to sniff the title for quite awhile after this, which is good. He needs more time.

His character is ok though. I mean, I'll take "quiet, handsome badass" over "smilin' asshole who doesn't care if he wins or loses" any day, which is what they do with most faces. Sheamus probably would've killed to be given "quiet badass" as a character trait.

EDIT: And yeah, people bust on Cena's five moves of doom, but Reigns makes Cena look like Dean Malenko at this point.

I look at Reigns and you know who I see.

    Diesel.

Not as big, more agile but basically he's at that level.

Take that as you see fit.

Cena was also very good from the get-go. Like, yeah he grew up in a wrestling family but he still was way ahead of where Reigns is at this age.

Bryan going down has forced them to shove Reigns into the big time earlier than they wanted, probably.
