I dropped my ipod on my drive way and now I have some bad scratches on the screen and the buttons. Is there any way to remove them?

Well, that depends on how deep the scratches are. If they are just surface scratches you could use just about anything that is relatively soft but still solid. If the scratches are deep then this could take for ever. You've got to level the plastic and keep it extra nice and clear

A few are deep. I've read brasso works good, is this true?

i've heard that the Applesauce product produced by http://www.shieldzone.com/ works fairly well. they also have thin screen covers that will help protect your iPod after you've gotten the scratches out.

Brasso works wonders, as I can attest. I got some nasty scratches on my iPod photo when it was new (careless Vulpine as ever) and while they weren't completely removed, they may as well have been. Patience and persistence will be your friends though - it does take some time polishing to make a difference. Also, be sparing with it - you don't want it to gum up the clickwheel by sneaking in via the button.

Just want to second ShieldZone. Take a look at their web site and the videos. They're worth the money and the time it takes to apply them. I no longer worry about my ipod or DS getting scratched thanks to these guys.
