Final Fantasy IV Advance + Mog

I didn't want to ressurect the old Final Fantasy IV Advance thread for a single question, so I thought I could ask here. Amazingly enough I could not find the answer to this question on gamefaqs or via google.
I'm in the World of Balance, the Floating Continent just arose and I headed to Narshe to pick up Mog. I activated Lone Wolf, followed him to the cliffs where Tritoch is at, but every time I try to approach him he says "Not one more step or the moogle gets it!" and I get pushed back to where I started.
My party is Sabin, Locke, Relm, and Setzer. What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: I meant to type in FFVI. My mistake, slip of the keyboard.
