Hooray, it's James! Every time he loses an argument with me, he breaks out the old gem "Hur, hur, you're a FURRY, so it doesn't matter what you say!" He's completely pathetic and totally in love with himself, so needless to say he's a perfect fit for Action Button.

You may have had the Insert Credit guys up your ass, but you've got no sway here, James. It'll be fun to see you get the reaming you so richly deserve and are so long overdue to receive.

    Wait, what?

Not a good idea to start dragging personal vendettas into this.

The comic he posted earlier? That was mine, with all the dialog changed. Normally, I'd have a sense of humor about that, but since it's James, and since the dialog was disgusting and idiotic... well, not so much.

    Ah.

Man, the Art Corner would have spit your carcass out onto the pavement. Heh heh.

    children, children.

i think everybody should remember the most important saying in a situation like this.

arguing on the internet is like competing in the special Olympics. even if you win, you're still retarded.

1- Calling people "children" to make yourself look superior is worse.
2- A person using that old analogy is worse than the people compared than that analogy.

The review isn't saying TP is a terrible game. That is the argument. It is also a fact. How can it be a terrible argument?

"1 out of 4" would seem to indicate that it is a terrible game.

If you got a 25% on an exam, would you think you did well?
Well gee mister, maybe you should read the review instead of looking at numbers that don't mean anything in real reviews.

I did read it, dickface. Nothing in the review says "This game is average" or even "This game is good." The whole review is "This game pisses me off here's why:" followed by "1 out of 4."
Ignoring your personal attack, the review actually says that some of the stuff you do in the game is dumb. How is that not true?

"True"? What are we even talking about here? First off, "truth" and "fact" are two different things, and "some stuff you do in Twilight Princess is dumb" is neither truth nor fact, it is subjective opinion.
So you're saying that in the entire play through of TP you never once thought "I've done this before", "This is kinda dumb", or anything near that?
That is different from saying all of the game is like that. One part is not the whole game.

I've yet to play it, but it doesn't matter; it's still subjective opinion. Every single person on Earth could agree on it and it would still be subjective opinion and not "truth" or "fact."

That's why I don't do comics anymore. I drew that about five years ago... it was better when put in the proper context, but not by much.

If you didn't want the same/similar characteristics in a Zelda game, then why would you even bother buying it in the first place? Zelda games have been following the same basic formulas for years now, in case anyone didn't notice.

Uh, no, I don't have a clue what you mean anymore. You seem to be living in some kind of bizarro reality that I can't get a grapple on.

And call me a tool all you want but you said at the top of this quote tree that it is a fact that Twilight Princess has busywork. Forgive my ignorance here, but no, I don't know what you mean other than that you were trying to say that TP having busywork is a "fact" which is incorrect.

You can't seem to pick a position. Either it is saying the game is bad, average, or good. Pick one.

To the average thinking person, the review says the game is very bad. The review is also horribly wrong, despite some valid points that have been blown way the fuck out of proportion. It is poor shitty journalism that intends to piss people off and stir up controversy.

One part is not the whole game. He is saying the entire game is like that. The only examples it gives are really stupid.
There is no reason to find a twig somewhere to light a candle to open a door to get a bigger stick.
You had the lantern for this. Only place in the game where you might have had to do this is with the wolf early on in the game. When you were doing that, you weren't looking to get a bigger stick.
It’s so afraid of real exploration (and curiosity’s consequences), that it places you gently at a doorway after a fall into a bottomless pit. Sure, that’s Zelda for you, but at what point are we going to stop making excuses for these games, and start taking them to task? Link doesn’t have extra lives. If human being falls into lava, he shouldn’t wake up next to a door holding his head. UNLESS HE NEVER MOVED TO BEGIN WITH.
It is called suspension of disbelief. If the game was realistic, you would have to restart every time you died. I'm sure he would love that. There was real exploration. There were a lot of little dungeons.
There are stupid snowmen who can’t remember where the fuck they put a box, sub-human rock creatures who’ve lost their ability to talk, and then there’s that fucking mailman who shows up just to stop you from dashing across the countryside. God, I hate that mailman. He’s a credit card phone call during tedious sex.
How can you hate the mailman? He was awesome.

    So...

I browsed around that site. I have to admit I was pretty amazed. It's like someone went around to all the game review sites, somehow managed to extract everything I hate about game review sites and then created their own site.

Trying to be funny through shitty metaphors?
    Check.

    Insulting an arrogant comments?
    Check.

Failure to communicate their real impression of the game due to the above two items?
    Check-checkity-check.

It's like a game review site done my Maddox and because of that I've gotta say I think it's pretty much just shit. It's amusing for about five minutes before you come to the realization that it's idiotic and geared towards teenagers who think they're badasses.

Show me where I said it was a bad game, please, do.

A thinking person would probably see that the review is pointing out flaws in the basic premise of the game and then exaggerating them to make some sort of point. And you'll notice that it's only pissed people off that see it as "TP/GoW/GoW2/etc is the worst fucking game ever", not the people that take time to read the review with an open mind.
