it either pulls metal blocks towards you, or you towards large metal plates.

nope, stuck. I can get the 1st 2 items, but then don't know how to do anything with them ,and just end up trapped if I get the 3rd...

You can walk through the wall on the right of that little room. Pay attention to the shadows.

ok, I've got 20/40, and a magnet, but I seem to be stuck.

it looks like i need fire or a pick axe, but don't have a bone, or any of hte things for fire. There's a button next to a room with a "warp pipe" (that takes me to the book) but I don't know what the button is doing. help!

That's what I'm hoping for. I've got 22/40 right now.
There are two buttons near the room with the left-right cannon. They both move the cannon on the upper right room; the leftmost button moves the cannon's angle (points it upwards) and the other moves the cannon's direction. You want to fire it onto the moon, and also towards the up-left to break a pillar with an ite on it.

what could knock it down/eliminate the base under it?

edit: the button in the room next to the "warp pipe" has something to do with it.

For the next few you need to creatively use the cannon. There are two buttons nearby that move the cannon. One makes it point more "up" and the other rotates it 90 degrees. For the item on the pedestal near the warp pit thing, aim the cannon up and left. Getting that will let you go to the next room, where you will have to push a block to get one, then use the cannon again to get the other. Then you can get the bone.

I'm stuck right after that, though. I don't know how to get the stick.

I'm on a crazy puzzle of staircases, onto the LAST metal box, but it doesn't seem to work like the other ones, I can't pull it from the other side of the brown barriers. How do I get this out of the way? I see a "warp" portal, but I'm afraid to wlak through it in case it shoots me out of the puzzle.

What you want to do is first go past the treasure chest and make sure you pull down the metal block on the left side. Then, go back to the metal block in front of the chest and pull it down a bit, past the opening on the left (which means it cuts off your access there). Then, using that left block, take a roundabout route and you should have access to the top left portion of the screen, allowing you to access the treasure chest.

30 items and water up. Not sure what to do at the moment...

Well, got all 40 items, but I never found out how to get the 10th moon, or made the final tool, whatever it does.

There was a weird UFO thing I wanted to chest out some more, but alas, I didn't know the game ended immediately on getting the 40th item. Oh well.

Oh wait nevermind, it lets me keep playing after all!

Phew! Ok, got the special ending now, that was really cool.

The bonus ending is when you get all 10 moons, make the last item, and use it in the UFO. You take off into space. I must say, getting the final moon thats underneath the UFO room was tricky. Very creative use of those portals that are around everywhere. If you get stuck, pay special note of where the portal below the room you start in takes you. It puts you pretty warm to the solution.

original room with water in the trench. How in the WORLD do I get those? the basement below is no help as far as I can tell because I have nothing to fill the gap to access the next room. Thanks. Ps- I know the "Complete" in the basement and the arrow are magnetic, I just don't know how that is supposed to help.

Use the candle on the moss next to the complete sign upstairs

Just think about the possible angles you can come at the items there, and work backwards as best you can.

Everyone is all "38/40!" "29/40!" and I'm stuck here with four items feeling really really stupid. The only thing I can seem to interact with is that key-pedestal with the buttons around it. What am I missing here?!

I'm in the room where there are two things on top of metal boxes with the hole in the middle. I pushed one of the boxes into the hole but I can't figure out how to get the 2nd item off the 2nd box.
