I need to get a new keyboard for my PC, and I was thinking about looking to a gaming keyboard. (Like the Logitech G15 for instance). I play a lot of games where it would be nice to have all those mappable keys, but I was wondering if anyone made a gaming keyboard with the natural/split style layout. My wrists hurt if I use a normal keyboard a lot, but most gaming keyboards I've seen only come in that configuration.
Anyone know any GOOD gaming mini keyboards? I'm looking around newegg, and all the mini keyboards have horrible reviews for gaming use, or just in general.
edit: sorry I can't help the op much, since my other keyboard is quite normal, and not the gaming kind.
Gaming keyboards generally aren't in the natural split configuration.
However I do know coders that swear by the Microsoft Natural 4000. Coders that play alot of games.
God no. I bought that and it was just awkward. The split design makes it harder to type, I found, as well as play games. I returned it and got the Saitek Eclipse II instead. It's just a standard keyboard with a fairly nice design, but I love the three different colors you can have for the backlight. Seriously, keyboards aren't anything special. It is, after all, just a keyboard. But I don't think I could live without having a nice backlight anymore.

Meh, in college I started getting pain in my wrists when doing long sessions at the computer, after a week or so to get used to it, the split design seems to help me a lot. ymmv. There are some really spiffy features on the G15 though heh, apparently the LOTRO client has been configured to output some stats to the little display on the keyboard. Really useless, but neat.

I had a G15. It was absolutely massive, the LCD software took up a lot of resources, there was little content for the LCD, and yes, the content displayed was useless. They had content for it with SiN Episodes, but all it showed was your ammo and health. Why should I look away from the screen to see my health and ammo? The design, after awhile, just wasn't visually as pleasing as the Eclipse II, either.

I agree.
I'm not sure "gaming" and "natural keyboard" belong in the same sentence, let alone the branding for a piece of hardware. But the OP wanted a suggestion, and I think the Microsoft solution is probably the best fit for what he's described.

I just ordered a Razor Tarantula. It retails for 100 bucks but hit up price grabber and you can save about 25 bucks. It's a great keyboard, check it out.
There's a version of the G15 that has no screen. It's the G11. I've never used it, so I don't have any opinion.
There are also keyboards that aren't "natural" (curvy) designs, but are rather just regular keyboards split in half and elevated. They're probably more expensive, but would be better than curved keyboards for gaming I'd imagine. ErgoKey makes one.
