But, for sure, Namco is dropping a load of Ridge Racer and Tekken Tag 2 stuff. Also, the Telltale games are having a big sale. Plus Raven, a bunch of 2KGames, Rockstar, EA Sports, and Destiny is getting a discount.
Also, January's GwG list has been released. For 360, it's MX vs ATV Alive until Jan. 15 and The Witcher 2 until the end of the month. For X1 it is Dark Dreams Don't Die (D4) all month.

"No plans" to include ODST Firefight is kind of a downer, since I liked the lineup of weapons for that mode and the emphasis on engineers and brutes instead of elites.

I posted the week long XBL deals in the spoiler. The deals are only so-so depending on what you like and what you already have. Whatever goes on sale on New Year's will be either posted Tuesday (normal week long deals) or Tuesday night/Wednesday morning for the last daily.
Unfortunately, this year really gives the complainers ammunition about how bad the deals are. It's just been so lackluster. It feels like it was much better two or three years ago when the X1 wasn't even a thing.
Got what I was after with the Telltale Games sale. As I expected, Wolf set a precedent and the season pass went on sale before the 2nd episode of either series premiered, chumping anyone who bought the season pass right away. Since I was prepared this time, that category didn't include me this time.

It doesn't look like it. EDIT: I did it online yesterday so I could grab it; it said online only and I didn't see anything in-store to indicate you could do it there. The deal I got was still excellent and chances are I'd never use an extra controller ever (I never have for my 360); the $50 gift card will mostly cover the 1yr XBL anyway. It's all good! In-laws are already over for new years, so a run to Best buy wouldn't be the most diplomatic thing (though I wouldn't mind...).

I still think an actual game based on real trials riding would be pretty cool.
But, for sure, Namco is dropping a load of Ridge Racer and Tekken Tag 2 stuff. Also, the Telltale games are having a big sale. Plus Raven, a bunch of 2KGames, Rockstar, EA Sports, and Destiny is getting a discount.
Also, January's GwG list has been released. For 360, it's MX vs ATV Alive until Jan. 15 and The Witcher 2 until the end of the month. For X1 it is Dark Dreams Don't Die (D4) all month.

"No plans" to include ODST Firefight is kind of a downer, since I liked the lineup of weapons for that mode and the emphasis on engineers and brutes instead of elites.
But it's probably my favorite Halo campaign, so there's that.

Unfortunately, this year really gives the complainers ammunition about how bad the deals are. It's just been so lackluster. It feels like it was much better two or three years ago when the X1 wasn't even a thing.
I just went ahead and paid the $50 for the PS+ since I have amazon gift money, holding off on xbl for now; hopefully I can get a deal on that.

Oh. The only 'deal' I see is an online code from Amazon for 24 months for $100. Which works out to $50 per year, but is a standard price. You could buy an Xbox console from Best Buy and save $20 on a subscription card, but that's probably not the kind of deal you're looking for.
Best deal I've ever seen for GTAV on the 360. I might be playing it soon...but that's still too damned much just for a digital version of a game I already have the physical copy for.

I have to wait for the card in the mail but meh; effectively got the xbone with ac iv and unity for $300, which I couldn't really say no to.
