So um I'm trying to use this to share about 6,000 photos.
- I have a Gmail account
- I subscribed to 100GB which is more than enough space for this
- I downloaded the Windows PC GoogleSync app for Drive
- I set up my folders in the Google Drive directories on my PC
- I uploaded them all over a few hours
- I then wanted to move them to organize them into folders with 500 photos max a pop (so 0000-0500, 0501-1000, etc.)
- I make the requisite photos and move 'em on my PC
- GoogleSync starts syncing
Should be all fine and good, right? Wrong. According to my 0001-0500 folder ON MY PC, I have 500 files in the folder. All of them have a checkmark next to them meaning they were properly synced. In the Google Drive web interface, I have 484 files and I confirmed that some are missing from the web server.
I'm at my wit's end. Any ideas?
Also, I almost titled this thread "Google Title of Ryan Gosling Film" but I really need help and I'm too blereta890u7429iqorh to make jokes.

First thought is look for common features of the missing files. My first guess would be executables. I don't know if Drive will let you put those in there, I know for awhile Gmail refused to send them.
Just checked and I have no problem uploading such through the web interface.
Hmm...
You have disappointed me this day Drez.
Model explicitly asked me to use Drive to dump them and I felt compliant at the time. She wanted to download the glut of them.
I've never actually used Picasa. What's the benefit?
But for normal photo sharing, Picasa makes a gallery for you, there are editing features, face and location tagging.
Something it doesn't do: One button full screen image viewing. For some reason Google's idea of full screen viewing is slideshow + pause, and has been for ten years. As far as I'm concerned it's kind of the shittiest image viewing program/app/website in the world for this reason alone. Someone at Google is utterly dead set on this and I can't fathom why.
Can share album with anyone but of course want to go with client's wishes.
