Awesome, that is just down right funny. Great job Kate, love it.

I just want to say this is unequivocally my favorite webcomic. Keep up the great work, Katie!

Also, what came first? The boulder or the cafeteria? Was it terrible planning or the ultimate prank?

  • RoyalXIIIRoyalXIII Registered User new member
I would like to assume the mountain lion moved that boulder there.

  • jlrxjlrx Registered User regular
Awesome as usual, I am going to bet someone with a "Gun" comes and saves them eventually.

Are the Tree folk coming? I think they might be. side note. Not rrrrrrrregular-looking people that's the worst.

Is there another mountain lion under the table in the second frame?

  • TymeTyme Registered User new member
It's the twins under the table in the second frame

  • FellowFellow Registered User regular
Martimus, Those are the creepy twins.

  • spazziumspazzium Registered User regular
@TYME No I think they just look like they have cat eyes sometimes, like Seven does here.

No comments about the heroism of Brian? Well then I shall register and make one. And so now I have. But seriously, go Brian. Yet again more proof of his character for me. Rage issues or not, he's a truly kind soul. Even if his priority here was making sure only Seventeen was safe, his instinct was to protect. As every other child went into panic and fear mode, naturally, he immediately reacted. Confronting a MOUNTAIN LION and alone standing to keep it from getting in.

God I love this comic and all your characters Katie. I knew you were the right one to root for on Strip Search from day 1.

I would like to think that the reason the girl is falling from the rafters in frame 5, is because the cat from the previous comic was standing its ground.

  • Talyn RahlTalyn Rahl Registered User regular
Hahaha great comic, love that last panel(s) :P.

Good to see, as I suspected, that Brian stepped RIGHT up and tanked the lion for everyone, he's such a legend. Although I get the feeling that as dark as Katie has taken this comic... She's not going to have Brian flat out murder a real animal, so I'm guessing he'll just hold it off till it gets bored and walks away.

Great as always, fast becoming my favourite webcomic.

Surely that boulder wasn't put there accidentally. I smell a rrrrrrregular-looking person,

  • hajenhajen Registered User regular
I think everyone is missing the true hero here: Colin!
if not for his superpowers to bolster Brian's brawn there would have been a bevy of brutalized rrrrrrrregular-looking people on the floor... and hanging from the rafters.
i mean, look at the loudness of those fweeps; i'm surprised the dining hall still has a roof.

and the boulder at the back door - molepeople
either that, or the Cat-in-a-Can™ did it

  • Mjolnir74Mjolnir74 Registered User regular
Found the cat. And I'm not talking about the lion. It was really tricky.

I always make a cat sound whenever I spot the kitty. Tell me I'm not alone.

  • Sovoq113Sovoq113 Registered User regular
I've finally been able to find the cats without having a brain fart :D.

  • masomaso Registered User new member
Oops, someone just volunteered to be the sacrificial lamb.

But one oversized kitty should be nothing to the guy who singlehandedly wiped all the bears off the map, right?

Kitty run!. And what is that under the table in panel 2?

Thanks, Colin; I'm sure the frantic whistle-blowing is helping a lot.

WTF, though? Wildcat at the front door, boulder blocking the back door... is someone trying to kill the campers off?

  • osaryesosaryes Registered User regular
Tsk tsk tsk, Mal. You almost slipped. >:(

This is a good moment for us to remember all the injustices and discrimination RLIs (rodent-looking individuals) have to face everyday. It was not their choice to be born with prominent noses, teeth and ears. They have the same rights as we hominid-looking people do. The R word is a derogatory term and it would be consdered extremely offensive to say it in non-academic environments.

You did well in correcting yourself. But maybe a formal apology would be needed, since our RLI friend could have guessed the intention of your biased observation.

Please, people. This world needs us to show more respect and inclusion. Don't let the sh*tlords take over the webcomic medium!!!

WTF!? Why put the garbage cans by the back door if you can't use the back door? Also, who makes an outside door that opens inward? Why do that? o_0

Also, the strip rocks. And also boulders.

No way. Find me an exterior door that opens outward.

There's actually two hidden cats in this comic. If you look carefully, you can just barely see another cat outside the door that Brian is closing.

  • ReiskaReiska Registered User regular
The kitty wants in... to return ashes to ashes. Messenger of inevitability asks for shelter... feverish action ensues.

  • metfanscmetfansc Registered User regular
Kitty absconded outside at the first sign of danger, smart kitty.

Nice save by Malachi rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrregular looking people, totally...

  • JustforkixJustforkix Registered User regular
As usual, Brian to the rescue :)

On the inward / outward door debate ... I believe most external doors open outwards (harder to break in), but most internal doors open inwards (so you don't bash people walking past.)
People who live in apartments may consider their front door to be "external" as it is where their "property" ends and the communal property begins. But it will likely open inwards because it is internal to the building. Also it's not nice to bash your neighbours :)

People are really ovethinking the door thing in this one....
