Programming my mouse to think by itself

Is there a program that can record basic mouse movements and record keystrokes and then let me edit the the recorded information. I have a few basic, repetitive tasks at work that require mouse movement and this kind of application would work wonders for me.

There are. I'll be damned if I can remember the name but if I get some free time today I'll look. They were pretty common back in the day when tons of companies were doing that "show our banner ad while you browse and get paid 2 cents per hour (or whatever)" thing. Most of them would shut down if they didn't detect mouse movement, so there were a lot of apps developed which would move your mouse randomly or you could have it record your movements and then repeat them at specified intervals.

You're looking for mouse macro software. I believe there's a lot out there, but I've never used one before.

Look for a version of Winrunner to automate repetitive tasks.

Macro Express is what I use for this.

Yea, I used a macro program like this to a) raise skills that I didn't feel like doing by hand in Ultima Online and b)saving myself a shitload of time at work (recorded key strokes + mouse FTW)
