xbox controllers seem like the best supported device on PC
While a really good controller, support is weaker enough than the wired 360 controller that I'd have a hard time recommending it to someone as their only thing

there's another tool for the ds4, but this one has already worked well for me. lets you use the touchpad to control the mouse if you need to, and set what the light on the front does/what color it is
