I'm looking at downloading an audio file, I have two options, the .wv or the .ape files. I want to play this through my ipod and burn this to an audio disc, am I able to do that with either of them?
Will I be able to play them with windown media or itunes?

Thanks guys.

Well they are both lossless encoding formats (wavepack and mokey's audio respectively). For what you want to do, they aren't much use to you. However if you google around for a converter, you can convert them to a wav file and do whatever you want with it (burn to cd and/or encode to mp3).

Ok, well the situation is they are 256mb files (it's a classical piece), I'm going to go for the .ape file due to being more accessable. Could anyone link me to something I can download to convert the file into an .mp3 once I've downloaded it? I can't seem to find one.

Uh, google "ape to mp3 converter" and see what turns up...
    The second link perhaps.
