restoring leather

my sister just got a used 325i and the leather inside the car is in pretty bad condition, i know i can get a leather restore kit but i just wanted to know if those things work, and if i can fix rips.

    If you are referring to leather seats, you might consider getting them re-upholstered with a non-leather material. Most people quickly get tired of leather car seats as they are very cold when you first sit on them on cold days, yet are uncomfortably hot during the summer.

    It’s going to depend on how damaged the seats are. If they’re just dried and scratched, you can at least make them look better. But if the seats are cracked, split, or crumbling, it’s pretty much a lost cause.
